Prof. Dr. Maarten van Zalk, born in 1981, is Professor in Developmental Psychology at University Osnabrück (Institut für Psychologie, Fachbereich Humanwissenschaften). He is an IMIS member since 10/2017.
In 2009, Maarten Van Zalk gained his PhD at Utrecht University (Summa Cum Laude). He was a Rubicon Fellow at Utrecht University and a Marie Curie Post Doctoral Researcher at Örebro University, Sweden, between 2009 and 2011. He became Associate Professor (Habilitation) in Developmental Psychology at Örebro University in 2011. In 2013, he was awarded the VENI Award by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Pro Futura Fellowship by the Riksbankens Jubileumsfond (National Bank of Sweden). Between 2015 and 2017, he gained the DAAD-Gastprofessur to work at WWU Münster Universität and the Newton Fellowship by the UK Royal Society to work at the Department of Experimental Psychology, Oxford University.
