Equal Opportunities and Diversity

Equality between all members of the academic staff and the compatibility of family and career are core concerns of the institutions involved in the SFB. For Osnabrück University, equality, diversity and family friendliness are integral elements of its organizational culture.

Osnabrück University has signed the ›Charta der Vielfalt‹ (›Diversity Charter‹) and is committed to diversity-conscious recruitment and appointment procedures.

Osnabrück University has a gender and diversity controlling system. It helps to recognize and take into account at an early stage whether people are facing structural obstacles (e.g. due to gender, social background or position, family migration history, race and international mobility). The aim is to jointly find the best-suited career development paths.

In order to sustainably strengthen equality and diversity at all qualification levels, SFB 1604 appoints an equal opportunities and diversity-representative.
