New EU-funded Horizon Europe project at IMIS

Franck Duvell, jointly with Albert Kraler (lead) from Danube University Krems (UWK) and a total of 17 partners won funding for a project on “Measuring irregular migration and related policies” (MIrreM) examing estimates and statistical indicators on the irregular migrant population in Europe and the ethical implications as well as related policies, including the regularisation of irregular immigrants. The project also considers rejected asylum applications as an important pathway into irregularity and is thereby partly related to the FFVT project. It builds on previous projects Clandestino, Regine and C-Mise. Twenty countries will be covered. The project runs from 1.10.2022 – 30.9.2025. Access the project description on the EU’s Funding and Tender portal here.
